Course Description
This WSD program is about 5 years old. I created this program in order to provide an individual with basic techniques than can be helpful in any situation. The program is structured in phases designed to teach the student basic and highly effective self defense techniques that directly reflect their desire to learn. A student may remain in one particular phase for as long as they wish so as not to feel rushed or pressured into progressing into the next phase. The phases do, however, build upon themselves thus giving the student a more in-depth knowledge of self defense with each successive stage. There are six phases in this program:
Phase 1. Self Defense against an unarmed attacker who is attempting to restrain the student in any way.
Phase 2. Self Defense against an unarmed attacker who is attempting to strike the student in any way (punch, kick, etc.).
Phase 3. Self Defense against an armed attacker. The student learns how to defend against knives, impact weapons, guns, both handgun and long gun while remaining unarmed.
Phase 4. The student begins to combine the previous phases and tests their knowledge through stress drills and scenarios.
Phase 5. Teaches the student how to use a wide variety of weapons found in a typical environment (gun, knife, stick, chair, etc).
Phase 6. Similar to Phase 4 but the student will now begin to use weapons as defense as opposed to unarmed defense.
